DOSTARCZENIE OPON

w firmie dpd jest cos takiego jak życie opony

01 Consolidation
Parcels with faraway destinations sometimes pass through other depots on their way from the dispatch depot to the recipient depot. These depots are also called “consolidation nodes”. During the consolidation process the parcels will be sorted by their destination and
consolidated based on the primary direction of their destination.

02 Inbound
All parcels that arrive at a recipient depot during the day will be scanned there. After they
have been scanned, they will be listed in the parcel life cycle as “Inbound”.

03 Out-for-delivery
In the recipient depot the parcels will be sorted and added to the recipient delivery process.
They will be handed over to the driver and loaded into the delivery vehicles. This process is
called “Out-for-delivery”.

04 Driver’s return
Parcels that could not be delivered will be returned by the driver to the depot on the same
day. There they will be registered as “Driver’s return”. The reason why a parcel could not be
delivered will be stated as an exception code in the parcel life cycle.

05 Pick-up
After the parcels have been picked-up from the consignor, they will be scanned by a DPD
member of staff in the dispatch depot. This first time listing of a parcel in the DPD system is
called “Pick-up“.

06 System return
“System return“ denotes parcels which have arrived in the wrong depot due to forwarding,
loading or postcode errors and that are therefore forwarded to another depot or returned to
the consignor. The reason for the system return is stated as an exception code in the parcel
life cycle.

08 Warehouse
Parcels that are not added to the delivery process in the recipient depot on the same day will be consolidated as “Warehouse“ and delivered on the following day. The reason for the warehouse scan is stated as an exception code in the parcel life cycle.

10 HUB sort
Sometimes parcels will pass through a so-called HUB on their way from the dispatch depot to the recipient depot on supra-regional and cross-border transportation routes. In the HUB the parcels will be scanned and sorted for further transport. Parcels which are transferred in the HUB after the last transport to the respective recipient depot or the next HUB for the day has departed, will be prepared for further shipment on the next day.

12 In customs clearance Parcels which are currently being processed for customs clearance are said to be “in customs clearance“.
