I would like to invite you all to a charity bike ride on Sunday 27th June from 11am.

We will be cycling from Newcastle, meeting at Baltic Square next to the Baltic, and going to Wylam and then back.

The route is mostly on off road cycle paths and there will be a free BBQ at Wylam. All that we ask is that participants help to raise money for the two nominated charities:

Launchpad, a local mental health charity (http://www.newnet.org.uk/launchpad/index.htm)

The Cyrenians - the homeless charity that take a holistic approach to empowering disadvantaged people, giving them the necessary skills to take positive risks to improve their lives and successfully move on. In particular, money will go towards the hostel Virginia House where I am raising funds to buy pool bicycles and enable access to bikes for physical and mental health benefits.

I am organising the ride in association with Newcastle NHS Community Health Team. As well as raising money for two very important charities, this ride is designed to promote their new website which offers detailed advice on a range of mental health issues and allows self-referral to a specialist.
